Dear BVB,

For those who could not attend yesterday’s rehearsal, this is the announcement that the members present voted overwhelmingly to postpone Wednesday’s concert

 to an yet unconfirmed date in 2025, the reason being that the conditions for setting up and for accommodating the band were not deemed acceptable.  Liz and Lyn will liaise with the Portishead Seniors’ committee to secure better terms in the future.

We regret that we will not be able to deliver a carefully composed, custom-tailored programme to the intended audience, but hope that we can do this later with a few tweaks.

The Stoke Gifford concert on 12th October will go ahead as planned.  An additional final rehearsal is planned for Friday, 11th October, 7 p.m. at Pill Memorial Hall.  This will be confirmed by a later email.
