Helston Furry Dance – August 2025 (simplified version, to be used for the time being):

Start close to the band – and preferably scope out a suitable route to take beforehand!
‘Men’ stand on the left in each pair
A music: travelling forwards, 3 steps and a pause, x8
- Try to start with the left foot, i.e. LRL, RLR, LRL, RLR, LRL, RLR, LRL, RLR
B music: two hand turn with your partner, to the left (same footwork x4) – there should be time for 1 full rotation – then a two hand turn back the other way (same footwork x4)
Dance this 6 times in total (and listen out for the band slowing down at the very end)
