Dear Brigstowe Village Band,

Here are the details of my Travelling with Thomas folk musical project. The shows this week are the culmination of 6 months songwriting and a virtual R&D that myself and the project artists (3 dancers, 3 musicians) did during May and June.

The show is 2 x 35 minute halves with a 15 minute interval. Each show features 3 of the 6 artists plus myself and designer Lizzie Watts. We’ll all be introducing the pieces, talking about the show’s background, what happens next, and comments on both the challenges and the fun. The pieces themselves will be on beautifully constructed film – so that we’re not at the mercy of my dodgy broadband.  There’ll be some optional ‘tasks’ to do during the show and a chance to ask questions to the artists at the end.
