Message from Liz:
Thank you to all who made the Apple Day such a jolly and coherent programme – nervous in rehearsal; (it is ALWAYS tricky changing from outdoor to indoor gigs / summer to autumn AND trying our hand at playing new tunes together for dances (enhanced by Anne) songs and words (enhanced by Fritjof and Michael) hung together very well.
A number of the audience asked if i) whether we had made a CD they could buy ….! and ii) where they could come and see us perform next !
See as many as possible on November 21st for Matt’s next rehearsal – and a start on Christmas music.
Best wishes
Liz
The Long Ashton Apple Day gig is on Sunday 7 October, 3pm at the Long Ashton Community Centre.
The setlist can be found here.
There will be a practice immediately before the gig starting at 1.45pm in the Jubilee Pavilion, Long Ashton Community Centre. Please click here for more details.
It looks like the weather will be kind to us – no more rain forecast this afternoon – so the Clift Road Triangle Street Party gig will go ahead.
Bring pegs to hold music if it gets breezy and a jacket.

BVB will be auditioning for a new musical leader on Sunday 28 October pm (times to follow) at Long Ashton (L shaped Hall not the Jubilee).
The candidates will take an hours rehearsal, have an ‘interview’ with the five members of the steering committee (Liz, Chris, Pat, Helen and Fritjof) and a question and answer session with the whole band.
We will pick a piece from the existing playlist – and Liz will suggest a tune for the candidiate to arrange which they will present to the band.
